Hi, I’m Lumi!

A bakery’s web page where three product descriptions and the FAQ are hatched in red and labeled “Invisible to AI crawlers”. On the right, the Lumi GEO side panel: AI view, grade D, 52/100, only 30% of the text can be read without JavaScript.
The real extension, on a fictional demo site.

Demo · 26 seconds

Lumi at work, from click to code

One full analysis of a fictional demo site: the robot view right on the page, the score, then the code to copy.

Animation made from the real extension and the real results of its analysis of the demo site.
Read what the video shows
  1. Lumi waves and asks: “What do AIs really see on this page?”
  2. On the bakery demo site, a click on the Lumi GEO icon opens the side panel. Lumi starts the analysis and ticks each step: reading the page, looking at it like an AI crawler, checking robots.txt, working out the score.
  3. “Show on the page”: the texts that AI crawlers cannot read without JavaScript are hatched in red, 8 areas in all, while Lumi’s beam sweeps across the page.
  4. The score: 74/100, grade C, then the 4 pillars: SEO 89, GEO 75, AEO 78 and AI view 52.
  5. The top priorities, with the points each fix is worth. In the Code tab, the FAQ structured data is copied and the matching priority gets ticked.
  6. End: Lumi GEO, “Your page as AIs see it.”, a free Chrome extension.

The problem

Most AI crawlers don’t run JavaScript

They only read the HTML sent by the server. Whatever a site adds afterwards with JavaScript does not exist for them: they can’t understand it, so they can’t cite it.

  • Product texts, FAQs, reviews loaded by JavaScript: often invisible.
  • Sometimes even the title, the description or the structured data.
  • A page can look perfect in your browser and almost empty to them.

That’s where I come in: I read the page like they do, then I show you what they miss.

How it works

Three steps, right in Chrome

No account, no setup: Lumi GEO works on the page you are looking at.

I tell you each step as I go: no black box.

  1. Step 1: Click the Lumi GEO icon

On any page, in Chrome. The side panel opens for this tab only, then you start the analysis.

  2. Step 2: Lumi reads the page

Like an AI crawler: the raw HTML, robots.txt and the structured data. About three seconds.

  3. Step 3: Fix what matters first

A score out of 100, the priorities with the points they are worth, and the code to copy.

Robot view

See the invisible, right on the page

Lumi GEO downloads the raw HTML of the page and compares it with the page on your screen.

  • The share of the text that is invisible to AI crawlers.
  • Key elements added by JavaScript: title, description, H1, structured data, links.
  • “Show on the page”: invisible areas are hatched right on the site, and Lumi walks you through them one by one.

Look at the page: I’m lighting up what AI crawlers can’t see.

AI crawlers

Who can read the site? 14 AI crawlers checked

For each AI crawler (search, on-demand browsing, training), Lumi GEO tells you whether it can read the site and the page, with the exact robots.txt line that decides.

Blocking training crawlers is a legitimate editorial choice: it costs no points.

A blocked search crawler can’t cite the site. A blocked training crawler? That’s the site’s call.

Lumi reads the pagePro

What does an AI understand of the page?

With the AI built into Chrome (Gemini Nano), which runs on your computer:

  • what the AI understands of the page (topic, audience, summary);
  • the questions people ask that the page answers, and the ones it misses;
  • ask Lumi a question: she only answers with the content of the page.

An answer only counts if the quoted sentence really exists on the page: the AI cannot invent anything.

InfoRequires a compatible computer (requirements set by Chrome). Otherwise, everything else works normally.

Questions people ask

  • What are the opening hours?Covered
    « Du mardi au dimanche, de 6 h 30 à 19 h 30. »
  • Can I order a cake online?Missing

The page does not answer it: an idea for the FAQ.

Illustration on the fictional demo site: real results depend on the page and on Chrome’s AI.

No quote, no answer. That’s my golden rule.

The code

The code to fix it, ready to copy

  • JSON-LD suited to the type of page (article, product, local business, home page…), with FAQPage.
  • An llms.txt template.
  • Nothing is invented: every value that cannot be found on the page is marked “TO COMPLETE”.

I never fill a blank with a guess: you’ll see “TO COMPLETE” instead.

JSON-LD · Organization

2 to complete

{  "@type": "Organization",  "name": "Boulangerie des Dunes",  "url": "https://boulangerie-des-dunes.example/",  "logo": "TO COMPLETE: logo URL (square image, 112 px minimum)",  "sameAs": [    "TO COMPLETE: URLs of the official profiles (LinkedIn, Facebook, Wikipedia…)"  ]}
Excerpt of the code generated for the fictional demo site: the name and the URL come from the page, the logo and the profiles do not, so they are left to complete.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Another question? Write to us

Ask away, I love questions. Especially the ones a page should answer!

Is Lumi GEO free?

Yes, up to 5 full analyses a day: the 4 pillars, the robot view, the AI crawlers and the code to fix it. Re-analysing a page already analysed today is free, and past 5 pages, new pages still show their score and their 4 pillars. Lumi GEO Pro (€4.99 per month, no commitment) adds unlimited analyses, Lumi reading the page with Chrome’s AI, score tracking for each page and the PDF report.

What are GEO and AEO?

GEO (generative engine optimization) helps generative AIs like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude or Gemini understand, trust and cite a page. AEO (answer engine optimization) is about giving clear, direct answers to the questions people ask. Lumi GEO checks both, along with classic SEO and what AI crawlers see without JavaScript.

Does a good score guarantee being cited by AIs?

No. The score is an indicator of Lumi GEO, not a Google or AI metric. It shows what helps AIs read and understand a page, and what to fix first; nobody can guarantee a citation.

Can I analyse any page, even a competitor’s?

Yes: any web page open in Chrome, yours or not. Chrome does not let extensions read its own pages (chrome://…) or the Chrome Web Store. Lumi GEO only reads the page you click on, when you click.

Is any of my data sent?

No browsing data is collected: the analysis runs entirely in your browser, with no telemetry and no ads. Pro subscribers: only the license key is checked with Lemon Squeezy, the payment provider. No analysis result is ever sent.

What computer does “Lumi reads the page” need?

It uses the AI built into Chrome (Gemini Nano), with requirements set by Chrome: Chrome 138 or newer on Windows, macOS or Linux, 22 GB of free space, and a graphics card with more than 4 GB of memory or 16 GB of RAM. The first time, Chrome downloads its model. On other computers, everything else in Lumi GEO works normally.

Does llms.txt get a site cited by AIs?

Not necessarily. llms.txt is a community proposal, not an official standard, and it does not guarantee being cited by AIs. Lumi GEO checks it as a bonus, without counting it in the score.

How does the Pro subscription work?

Pro is not on sale yet. It is planned at €4.99 per month, with no commitment, and will add unlimited analyses, Lumi reading the page, score tracking and the PDF report. The payment will be handled by Lemon Squeezy, the payment provider. Until then, the Free plan gives 5 full analyses a day.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome 116 or newer on a computer, and Chromium browsers compatible with Chrome’s side panel. The interface is in English and French, following Chrome’s language.

I’m ready when you are!
